Submission Guidelines
Films that are submitted must follow these guidelines in order to be considered

SFSU Cinema Major
Submitting students must be SFSU Cinema majors, undergraduate or graduate.

Runtime Under 20-Minutes
The film must be 20-minutes or less. Any film that exceeds the 20-minute time limit will not be considered.

Filmed between May 2022 - May 2023
Any film that was made after last year's Film Finals are eligible. Films that were made prior to May 2022 will not be considered.

No Paid Work Allowed
Submitted films do not have to be made for a Cinema class, but no paid work for the cast and crew is allowed in order to be considered for selection.

Genre
All narrative, documentary, experimental, and animation projects are eligible.

You May Submit More Than One Project
Filmmakers can submit more than one project to be considered for selection.
7
Submission Deadline
The last day to submit your film is April 30, however for consideration you may submit a rough cut/work-in-progress as long as you deliver the final cut by May 7.
